A christening is a wonderful event that any budding photographer will want to capture on film. If you are looking for some opportunities to practice your photography skills, taking some photos at a christening is a great way to broaden your horizons.
It’s a great way to practice capturing portraits as you can photograph the baby being christened and its family. Gowns are usually white so be careful with this – you need to make sure you don’t over-expose the image. You can also take some photographs of guests and of the venue itself. If the photographs are good, you may even want to think about getting some professional photography work in future and taking photos at other christenings and events. You can get some of the best photos printed and have them framed as a beautiful and personal gift for the baby’s family – they will really appreciate such a thoughtful present.
Marquees are very common equipment used in hosting various kinds of events and parties. This little outfit is new to our collections and has just arrived in time for the cooler months of the year. Not just for a Christening, we think this fur jacket and dress outfit would suit any big day – birthday, wedding or any special family party. The ivory outfit contains a fur short bolero style jacket with a ballerina style dress underneath. The sleeveless dress has a cotton twill bodice, decorated with a satin ribbon and a large applique flower. Two layers of sentimental net, with a slightly applique butterfly hiding throughout the folds of the fabric, cover the ivory lining of the skirt. The complete outfit is done with little faux fur bolero jacket that’s wonderfully soft to touch and will keep bare arms warm on a cold day.
For shoes to go with this outfit, we suggest the lady’s organza tie shoe – a soft shoe made of ivory silk, decorated with lace and three little rosebuds and tied with organza ribbon.
Alternatively, the lady’s fur trimmed bootie would also be a good choice. This gorgeous little soft boot is laced with ribbon at the back and trimmed with fur. Our ivory heart tights or our ribbon tights are pretty and practical for the Winter and may go nicely with this little outfit. To complete the look, the ivory rosette headband adds the overall of completion.
